Spiced Latte Body Scrub Bar
Spiced Latte Body Scrub Bar
I love these soaps, my skin feels healthy….Breda O
I’ve teamed up with my friends at Craic Coffee to recycle their used coffee grounds to make a scrubby body bar. The coffee is roasted locally, in Stradbally, by Adrian Mueller and we use it in the shop I run with my friend Niav at Market Sq Studios in Ballinakill. Once we’ve served your delicious coffee, I take home the used coffee grounds, dry them and use them in my soap.
This bar is not for the sensitive skinned or those who like to ease into the day - its got some serious scrub power! If you do, however, want your skin to feel alive and zingy and scrubbed into action then you’re going to love it!
I’ve used a blend of cardamon, vanilla & cinnamon essential oils to give it a delicious, slightly spicy, scent and to help tone and invigorate the skin and improve circulation. These oils are also warming by nature so will be a lovely bar to use on wintery mornings!
I make my soap the cold pressed way, using olive, coconut and calendula oils as well as shea butter as the base and fragrancing them with the finest essential oils. The downside is that it takes about 4 weeks for them to 'cure' but the upside being you get a longer lasting bar of soap that is not only kind to the skin but is a little aromatherapy session every time you use it. There are no chemical hardeners in there so its a good idea not to leave them sitting in water. You could always pop them it in one of our bamboo wash bags.
Not sure which soap to choose? Choose a Soap Stack and you get 4 bars to help you decide on your favourite.
